AUTOMATICALLY ADAPT THE OPERATION OF THE LIGHTING SYSTEMS TO YOUR NEEDS

Today you can apply technical solutions such as presence sensors or regulation systems based on the available natural light, that automatically adapt the lighting system's operation to your needs.

With presence sensors, the lamps remain on only when the presence of people is detected; otherwise, after a predefined period of time (usually a few seconds), the lamps switch off.

In order to add them to the existing lighting system you first have to make sure that the lamps can be switched on and off frequently without reducing their useful life.

In the case of offices, little-frequented transit areas, industries, sports centres, etc. you can save up to 50% compared to facilities that lack this solution.

Regulation systems based on the available natural light consist of indoor and outdoor lighting level sensors and a device that adapts the lamp's flow to the required lighting level.

In spaces with natural light, you can do without all or part of the light emitted by the lamps without reducing the required lighting level. One good example are glazed façades, where natural light easily reaches a depth of around 3 metres, while its effect can be noticed at a distance of nearly 5 metres.

In these cases, if the lamps used support regulation, such as for instance fluorescent lamps with electronic ballasts, LEDs or halogen lamps, systems that make the most of natural light should preferably be used.

If this system is combined with a presence detection system, the lighting-related energy saving can reach 80% compared to conventional solutions.

At Iberdrola we analyse your case and propose the most suitable solution, based on your business activity, the characteristics of the premises and the existing lighting system.
