For just €0,95/month (including tax) your electricity or gas contract bills will be insured in case of unemployment, temporary disability, hospitalisation, absolute and permanent disability or death, up to a maximum of €600. The coverage depends on your age and employment situation as described in the summary table on the website and in the insurance conditions.

Once you have received the compensation in the event of a claim, you will not have to pay anything for the bills of the insured electricity or gas contract until the compensation amount has been used up.

Those persons who on the date of the claim are actively working as self-employed, civil servants or employees will be covered for Temporary Disability.
Those persons who are not actively working on the date of the claim shall be covered for Hospitalisation.
In addition to one of these two covers, the insured person will be covered for Absolute and Permanent Disability and Death.

Any residential customer with an energy contract (electricity and/or gas) with Iberdrola Clientes who is between 18 and 66 years of age (both inclusive).

You can sign up for the service by calling us on 900 22 45 22 or, if you prefer, by visiting your nearest service point.

The duration of the contract will be one (1) year, automatically extendable for consecutive annual periods unless the client communicates otherwise fifteen (15) days prior to the end of each period.

In case of a claim you must contact the insurer MetLife by email (siniestros-sp@metlife.es), on the freephone number +34 900 201 040, from 09.00 to 19.00 hours, or by fax (+34 91 725 32 93).

Metlife will process the claim and communicate, where appropriate, the compensation to Iberdrola so that it can be transferred to the insured electricity or gas contract.

You can cancel at any time without any type of penalty.
