Adopted by a Spanish family and raised in Lugo, Galicia, Iglesias lost her sight at the age of 14 due to a congenital disease, which led her to take up adapted sports. She began her career in Paralympic athletics in 2017 and quickly proved her talent, winning numerous national and international titles in the T12 and T13 categories for visually impaired athletes. At the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, Iglesias established herself as one of the best sprinters in the world, winning a silver medal in the 100m and a bronze medal in the 400m. In addition, at the Dubai 2019 World Para Athletics Championships, she won a gold medal in the 100m and a silver medal in the 200m. Nuria Rodríguez Martínez, 19-year-old Spanish female ice skater, born in Madrid, Spain. She finished the 2022-2023 season as runner-up in the National Ice Skating League (LNP) and bronze in the Iberdrola Spanish Ice Skating Championships in the junior category. This year she will be fighting to win the second edition of the LNP, whichon this occasion is supported by Iberdrola. In addition, the young skater from Leganes combines her passion for sport with her studies for 1st year baccalaureate at the IES Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos.

Sofía Val
Figure skating
She was born on 14 November 2004 in Madrid and began figure skating at the age of six. After initially trying her hand in singles skating, in 2018 she made the leap to ice dancing, a decision that also brought about a dramatic change in her life: Val moved with her mother to Lyon to train with Muriel Zazoui and Olivier Schoenfelder. Her first partner was to be the Danish skater Linus Colmor Jepsen.
A few months after they started to work together, Val and Jepsen were crowned Spanish junior champions, a title they were to retain the following year. During the two seasons they worked together, they competed in their category in two World Championships and two events on the prestigious Grand Prix circuit.
After a brief spell with Nikita Vitryanyuk, with whom she once again became national junior champion, Sofía Val would return to Spain for good in 2022 to train under an icon of Spanish ice dancing, Sara Hurtado (who was also an Iberdrola ambassador). At Sochi 2014, Hurtado was, together with Adrián Diaz, the first Spanish ice dancer to compete in a winter olympics; at PyeongChang 2018, she did the same with Kirill Jalyavin, and together they broke another barrier by winning Spain's first medal in an ice dance Grand Prix.
After retiring, Hurtado and Jalyavin set up a figure skating academy at La Nevera de Majadahonda, passing the baton on to Sofía Val and a new partner.
Sofía Val and Asaf Kazimov, who will compete in their first Olympic Games after securing their place at the Pre-Olympics tournament held in September 2025.

Since then, she has excelled in the world of Paralympic triathlon, competing in the PT5 category for visually impaired athletes. Among Susana Rodriguez's most notable achievements is her participation in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, where she won gold medal in the PT5 triathlon event alongside her guide, Christian Benitez. She has also won multiple medals in world and European championships, establishing herself as one of the best female Paralympic triathletes in the world. Outside of competition, Rodríguez is known for her dedication to raising awareness of disability and her work as an inspiration for people with and without disabilities. Madrid, 9 August 2000, is a Spanish handball player who plays as a goalkeeper for the Guerreras Iberdrola League champions, Super Amara Bera Bera, and for the Spanish national handball team, the Guerreras.
Nicole made her debut for the senior team at the 2022 European Women's Handball Championship, where she was called up at short notice following injuries to Silvia Navarro and Mercedes Castellanos.
She also played for the national team that won gold at the 2022 Mediterranean Games in Oran that same season.
After a great season with French team OGC Nice, which she joined from Granollers in the 2023–24 season, she became the third goalkeeper to prepare for the Olympic Games and, taken unawares, was one of the starting goalkeepers called up by Ambros Martín to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games.
