Electric vehicles

In 2012, IBERDROLA continued to develop various projects in accordance with agreements entered into with different government authorities, mainly municipalities, together with various R&D programmes. Important knowledge has been obtained about electromobility-related matters through these projects, mainly with respect to recharging systems and technologies. In addition, they have made it possible to extend the agreements with suppliers of recharging systems and information technology and with the manufacturers of electric vehicles themselves, among others.

At the same time, thanks to the experience obtained in pilot projects and demonstrations, it has been possible to continue developing commercial solutions to suit the different potential users of electric vehicles, both for private individuals and fleets of company cars, car parks, motorbikes, etc, allowing these users to benefit from a zero emissions recharge, competitive in terms of price and specifications.

Linking all of the above to further improvements in the standardisation of recharging systems and interoperability agreements between the different agents allows for continued progress in the business model and the laying of foundations for the imminent development of electromobility.
