A strategic objective at IBERDROLA entails the equality of opportunities, non-discrimination and respect for diversity. With a view to attaining this objective, we promote a favourable environment and assist in the reconciliation of private and professional life. In addition, we support our employees with handicaps, guaranteeing their effective occupation.
Along these lines, we have set out procedures to preclude any type of discrimination on grounds of:

At IBERDROLA, we consider working in cultural diversity to be essential. Thus, we have taken initiatives with a view to raising employee awareness on functional diversity, in such projects as “Awareness by and for equality and diversity”.
In order to enforce the non-discrimination principle, the V Collective Agreement specifies that employees with diminished capacities to perform their job duties as a result of medical reasons, and who have not obtained a declaration of permanent disability, shall be reassigned to a post more suitable to their aptitudes and knowledge, yet conserving their original category.
With a view to assisting employees who have family members with some sort of disability, there is the Family Plan, whose objective lies in helping these family members integrate into the labour and social world.
