IBERDROLA has launched the Dual Energy Plan, a new commercial campaign targeting Spanish households and companies which offers highly competitive and advantageous terms and conditions for joint gas and electricity procurement.

With this offer, customers can benefit for one year from a discount of up to 30% on the fixed charge of their(1) gas bill, if they sign up for the Gas Maintenance Service, and up to 10% on the fixed charge(2)  of their electricity bill, if they sign up for the Electrical Emergencies Service.

IBERDROLA has also launched a new gas campaign, also targeting residential customers and businesses, which offers for 12 months a discount of up to 30% on the bill's fixed charge, if the user subscribes to the Gas Maintenance Service.

Those wishing to sign up for these products may do so from today until 31 May by visiting the IBERDROLA website (www.iberdrola.com), calling 900 225 235 or approaching any of the 160-plus IBERDROLA customer service points in operation throughout Spain.

The launch of these new IBERDROLA offers stems from its commercial policy, which is designed to provide value-added products and services to the customers and aims to adapt to market trends by offering competitive solutions in terms of price, as well as energy efficiency and quality of service.

Thanks to this approach, the Company has secured over 2.5 million contracts on the deregulated market, of which around 770,000 are for energy supply-related products and services, such as gas maintenance and electrical emergencies.

IBERDROLA has secured over 50,000 new contracts a week thanks to its intensive campaign of sales initiatives intended to offer various groups of consumers highly competitive and attractive terms and conditions.

The electric power supplied by the Company on the deregulated market in 2009 totalled 26,645 million kWh, compared to 15,440 million kWh supplied in 2008, which represents an increase of 73%.
